my site can’t be exported

  Hi,

  I wish to migrate to a self-hosted site, but export option on my wordpress.com blog doesn’t export all the posts from the blog! Just a fraction of it! Where is the problem and how can i export all of my content? Thank you

  Hi ysestar,

  I ran an export from ysestar.wordpress.com and managed to successfully import all posts, pages and media onto a test site — there weren’t may but they all came through okay. This means the issue is with the new site or perhaps a timeout issue on your host’s end.

  The new site isn’t hosted on our servers so we are unable to take a closer look at what is happening behind the scenes. You could try posting for advice on the WordPress.org support forums though:

  There are 3 sites listed in your account so it would be worth checking you are exporting from the correct one :)
