My site has been taken down?
-
Hi–on this account, my primary website was carolbondweddings.com. Now when I go to the page, I get this error message: ‘Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.’ When I logged in to my account, I was told that I only had one website, which wasn’t my primary. Instead, I’m left with a backup/test account. I’m a small business owner, and having my site up and running is crucial. The Wayback Machine shows my site as normal as recently as Oct. 20, and myself and others have accessed it as recently as Oct. 25. Could you please let me know what happened to my site?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I really need answers on this. My site has been hosted on WordPress for six years, and I need to know where it has gone. My blog posts, photo galleries, business resources, etc. were all on the site, and my website is a vital part of my small business. I’m losing income and I don’t know why. I need to get to the bottom of this, especially because neither I nor my media managers did anything to edit the site or make changes.

I desperately need a response. I’m losing business for every day my site isn’t active. Again, the error message displayed on my page (carolbondweddings.com, domain purchased through GoDaddy and routed through WordPress) is “Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.”
I understand that this may be an issue in the coding of my website itself, and I found helpful threads as to possible fixes (this is one), but I can’t actually execute the fix because when logged into my account I’m told that my only accessible website is bondweddingsandevents.wordpress.com, which is a test account I use to try out alternate themes.
Essentially: my account on WordPress, carolbondweddings, isn’t accessible from my site panel, from my Settings panel, my Admin panel, or any other panel I’ve been able to find. The site is still extant–it still is a result on various Google searches and I don’t get a 404 when I visit it–but I can’t access the site on the back end to fix whatever issue is preventing it from displaying.
I’ve spent considerable money and time on this account over the last six years, and as a mainly online business this is really hurting me. It’s been three days and I really need answers as to what went wrong and how to fix it.

Please, please help. All of my social media posts refer back to my website, which is currently out of commission. I need some feedback from someone here. Are there any moderators who can tell me they’re looking into this? I’ve been a paying and loyal client for six years.

Your site carolbondweddings.com is powered by WordPress, but is not hosted here at WordPress.com. Please ask your question at https://wordpress.org/support/
(You may have to create a WordPress.org account to post there.)For more information on the difference between self-hosted WordPress sites (like yours) and WordPress.com-hosted sites, please read:

@airodyssey I didn’t set up with my site and no longer work with the person who did. I’ve sent him several emails, but in lieu of his response and while I wait for the email to activate my WordPress.org acct, do you have any best guesses as to why I wouldn’t be able to access my entire site through WordPress as I’ve done for the last six years?
-
@cbondinc: I’m not familiar with self-hosted WordPress sites, hence my suggestion to ask at the WordPress.org forums.
If you don’t have access to your original WordPress.org account, create a second one (using a different email address). At least you will be able to post your question on the WordPress.org forum that way.
You may also contact your hosting provider. You said you have been a loyal client of them for six years, so they might be able to help you recover access as well.

@airodyssey: I never made a WordPress.org account–none of my email addresses, business or personal, have ever been an account on WordPress.org until I made one a few minutes ago.
When I contacted them, I was told that the issue would need to be fixed in the way that I typically updated or modified any installed widgets/code, which was through WordPress.com.
