my site has crashed
-
I need the email resent with the information/link concerning how to fix my crashed website because of the most recent update.
-
I thought I was sending a message to ‘support’ not the forum.
Nonetheless, has anyone experienced a ‘crashed site’ since the latest update? How do I fix it and will I lose everything? -
Hi there!
What’s the address of the site you’re working on?
Please note that these forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only. If your site is using the open-source WordPress.org software, we won’t be able to help you out and you’ll want to seek help at these forums:

Hi there. I am having the same problem. I got an email saying:
Howdy!
Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Yoast SEO.
First, visit your website (https://www.riverheadferry.co.nz/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://www.riverheadferry.co.nz/wp-admin/admin-post.php?swp_debug=load_options&swp_url=https://hastebin.com/raw/etonipusij) and check for any visible issues.
Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.
If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.
To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.
When I click these links, the website just says ‘the page isn’t working’. My site address is – https://www.riverheadferry.co.nz/wp-admin/about.php.
This is urgent as my client is just about to get back up and running again following COVID-19 and we need our website, we spent a lot of time creating it!
Thanks

I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
