My site has disapeared and I would like to get in contact with wordpress.com directly

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

Your site is now telling me that i don’t have access to my pages. I have logged out and back in and now it is telling me i don’t even have a site and would i like to create one! (I can send you screen shots if you give me a way to get them to you) I am very unimpressed, even from the beginning the client was slow and the interface was not easy to navigate. I paid a fair bit to use your service and i am sad to say I am regretting it. I put alot of hours into the site ontop of figuring out the interface, but actually what i want to ask is, is there a way i can get my money back?

    regards,
    Will Robinson

I’ve just realised this only post to public forums and there are no other contact details I can find? you’ve got to be kidding me, this seems absurd from such a well known site. I expected much better. Does anyone know how I can get hold of someone from the company

Hi there, the account you are posting here to the forums is less than an hour old. Can we start with the address of the site you need help with? Once we know that we can point you in the right direction.

  • Unknown's avatar

Well I have certainly been using wordpress for more than an hour!

but anyway, thanks for the quick reply. The site is called (or was) fromrootstobranches.co.uk

    Hi there,

The site above does not belong to the fromroots2branches account, which is why it doesn’t appear in your dashboard.

Please log out of that account, then try logging in with the username wcjrobinson.

If you’re unable to remember the password for that account, please follow the account recovery steps at:

    Recover Your Account

Once you have logged in, a refund can be requested if the plan you upgraded to has been purchased within the past 30 days:

    Refund a Purchase

You should also have access to Live Chat support if you’d like live help with any specific issue you’ve been struggling with:

Okay so it looks like the site is actually attributed to an old email address, not the one i thought I used to sign up with. Not sure how it happened but it must have been my error during sign up, though I still don’t understand how the accounts switched today…

I am still not massively found for the interface and am still interest in if there is any sort of money back option

A refund can be requested if the plan you upgraded to has been purchased within the past 30 days. Domains can only be refunded if they have been purchased within the past 48 hours.

For full details on how to request a refund, please follow the steps outlined at the link below

    Refund a Purchase

  • Unknown's avatar

Hello again, refunds are available for 30 days from date of purchase with the exception of custom domains purchased through WordPressdotcom which need to be cancelled and refunded within 48 hours of registration. Never cancel a domain if you intend to use it, even someplace else on the web.

As @garysixtyeight mentioned (thanks!) now that you are logged in with the correct account, if you are within that 30 day window, you can start the refund process from your dashboard at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases following the guide he linked to https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

    Hi there,

Thanks all who have contributed to this thread!

Sorry to hear that WordPress.com is not working out for you if you have any questions we can help you to get the most of your plan let us know.

I have removed your domain’s association with your plan allowing it to be canceled without canceling your domain.
