My site has disappeared

  Hi there,
  I haven’t logged in for a while and I’ve gone in to make a blog post and my whole site has disappeared!?!?!?

  Now instead of unfrufru.com it links me to unfrufru1.com which is not my site.
  i’ve renewed the domain but everything is missing?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there, can you please give us more information?

  unfrufru.wordpress.com is no longer available.

  The authors have deleted this site.

  The domain at unfrufru.com is parked at GoDaddy (temp screenshot).

  Did you map your domain to a different WordPressdotcom site (if so, what was it) or were you hosting your site with a different web provider?

  Just to clarify, if your site wasn’t hosted on WordPressdotcom’s servers, we do not have any access to your files.

  Hi there,
  no, it has always been on the wordpress.com site. It was still there a few months ago when I last checked it, I extended my domain name with godaddy, nothing had expired. It was linked to the wordpress site from the start.

  Also, wordpress.org told me it wasn’t there and that I had to come here to get it sorted.

  It seems you had unfrufru.wordpress.com but you have deleted that site.

  That’s what it says but I haven’t deleted anything. Haven’t touched it for months as life got in the way.

  Anything else I could check to see how it got deleted if it wasn’t by me?

  Staff will look at the record of your site’s activity when they come to this thread, but if the site was deleted using your Admin account, it won’t be possible to recover it.

  Also, looking at the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine for unfrufru.com from 2016 and 2017 at https://web.archive.org/web/20160307222436/http://unfrufru.com/ and https://web.archive.org/web/20170605095640/http://unfrufru.com/ it doesn’t look like your site was hosted here on WordPressdotcom.

  Hi there,

  As @justjennifer pointed out, your site unfrufru.com wasn’t hosted here. It was using the self-hosted version of WordPress and it was connected to your WordPress.com account (unfrufru) via the Jetpack plugin.

  That’s why you thought it was hosted here, but you only used WordPress.com to manage it.

  Also, looking the logs of unfrufru.wordpress.com if found out that it hasn’t been updated since 2011.

  I suggest contacting GoDaddy and ask them to restore your site. They seem to be the ones hosting it.

  Thank you for that. Very strange that it’s saying 2011 as I’ve been using it for several years.
