My site has disappeared

  I forgot to renew my domain name earlier this year and so my site was momentarily unavailable, I still had hosting set up throughout this period. After I re-bought the domain name I went to reconnect the site and my wordpress account is completely empty. It’s like I never had a site at all.
  I previously had all my content uploaded using the ThemeTrust theme ‘Swell’ – which I put together in 2015. I’m not sure where everything has gone.
  Any idea what might have happened?

  Thanks — kmurrayclark.com is registered through 123-Reg and was pointing to a WordPress.org site hosted by UK Web.Solutions, rather than WordPress.com. We have some information about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  kmurrayclark.wordpress.com is hosted by WordPress.com but the domain was never used for this site.

  I recommend contacting UK Web.Solutions to ask whether they have a backup of the site or whether it was assigned a temporary domain/IP address when kmurrayclark.com expired.
