My site has disappeared

    Hello,

    My site has disappeared … I am the person who created the (external) site and unfortunately nobody from the company had logged in before to the mailbox that is filled with your emails saying end of subscription alert … because they did not change the registered card that expired … Could you please tell me how to fix this? How to recover the site ???

    Hello there

    It looks like http://www.sansetfils.com is a self-hosted WordPress site, which is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    You would need to reach out to your theme/plugin developers or the hosting provider for further assistance.

    @aleone89 : I’m the moderator of the French support forums and I sent this user here. Could you please check if sansetfils.com used to be registered through WordPress.com?

    At present, sansetfils.com displays a “this domain is for sale” type of message. It looks like the person did not renew their domain name. It no longer displays their website.

    It looks like the domain is with Network Solutions and not WordPress.com: https://who.is/whois/sansetfils.com

    @aleone89: I know that. I’m familiar with WHOIS. What happened is that the domain expired and was repurchased by someone else very recently. Can you please help the user recover the content that was presumably hosted with WordPress.com before the domain name lapsed?

    Could you please check if sansetfils.com used to be registered through WordPress.com?

    I know at present it is a registered elsewhere but was it ever registered here?

    If the content was here at WordPress.com, and a purchase was with WordPress.com then it’s the account recovery route that would need to be pursued.

    That would have to be confirmed via email if proof ownership can be established. (see link above).

    Hey there!

    I’m reaching out with an update on this thread.

    It looks like the domain sansetfils.com was registered with WordPress.com previous to Network Solutions.

    Unfortunately that registration has indeed changed so we can’t provide help with it now.

    The old site and content is still available via sansetfils09.wordpress.com.
