my Site has not been accessible to me. What might I do to get it back?
-
When I go to WP, and click ‘My Sites,’ WP’s response window says that I don’t have any site. But, I do. My site is http://www.jeffreyhillard.com. Perhaps I missed renewing my site in some manner; however, I launched the free WP.com site and did not know I needed to renew in any capacity. In any search bar, if one types in http://www.jeffreyhillard.com, one sees my WP site. It is still live. True, I haven’t contributed to the website in quite some time, although I want to do so now. I want to blog and I want to add material to my site, jeffreyhillard.com. What steps can I take to get back in? Is there a step(s) I can take to get back into my site and to pick up adding material where I left off months ago? Thank you for your help

Hi there. Were you the original administrator for http://www.jeffreyhillard.com? If not, any emails sent for the site might be going to someone else.
Is it possible you have another WordPress.com account under a different email address which this site belongs to?If these do not help, I would suggest you review the account review support at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#password-reset-process and see if you can get access to the account by resetting the password. If not, I suggest working with the account recovery form at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form so a staff member can privately assist you.
Hope this helps.

Dear rkoffy,
Thank you so much for responding so quickly, within one day. I am grateful for the information. However, I did try all of the above, but I did not have success. My issue seems not to involve a password problem, since WP literally tells me I “have no sites.” However, as I noted initially, my jeffreyhillard.com site is live…I simply cannot get in.I created the site about one year ago. I can’t seem to find any activation URL or key. (There is no transaction URL I used, no PayPal.) Thus, I lack that key “activation URL.” The Account Recovery Form will not let me go any further when I simply write in the “comment box” about my dilemma.
I will appreciate any additional help you can provide. If there is anything else I can do to prove that the site is my site, I can do so. I’ll be willing to help in any way possible. Additionally, I have been administrator of the site, http://www.redbreakthrough.org – http://www.redwebzine.org
Thanks so much, again.

Jeffrey,
At this point, I have flagged this for staff review. They will be able to look into your account.
You should do two things…please reply with the email address that should be associated with the site. The system will redact it so that only staff can see it (for your privacy). Also, you should subscribe to the topic so you are notified of their response.
Hope they can get it worked out for you.

Is the link in the Forums page/area? Or am I looking in the wrong area? Thanks.
(Having trouble finding the ‘subscribe’ link. My apologies.) -
If you are using a desktop browser, it is on the right side. On mobile it would be on the bottom.
Just click this link: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?doit=bb-subscribe&topic_id=658865&and=add&_wpnonce=c7855cefb6

(The link didn’t work for me. Odd. I do appreciate your sending it! Perhaps you can re-send it? Not sure why it didn’t go.) You mention “right side”. Yes, I use desktop. Is it the right side of Forums page or another page?
It could be that I’m subscribed.

The issue is that the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from is not the owner or admin of jeffreyhillard.com.
So you must have ended up with a second WordPress.com account at some point. You will need to log into the other account in order to access the jeffreyhillard.com dashboard.

Dear Word Press Support,
Thank you so much over the months for answering any brief question I've had (above) regarding my WP blog. I am very grateful for WP's support and staff, and for the speedy way you typically tend to answer questions.I wonder if you could please answer one question for me: via the 'free' wordpress.com site I currently have (www.jeffreyhillard.com), I'm naturally not able to embed
If I purchase a WP Premium, would that enable me to embed a mailing-list service such as MailChimp or AWeber? I'm wondering if the Premium version would allow me to utilize an email-list service provider. Otherwise, the WP-provided service is a bit more limited in scope than other providers.
Thank you very much!
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Hillard

Purchasing an upgrade changes nothing in that regard.
You cannot use the MailChimp embed code or the Aweber embed code and cannot create a pop-up on a wordpress.COM hosted blog. You can create a sign up page on MailChimp or on Aweber only and link to it.
If you want to use MailChimp with your WordPress.com site here’s the info from MailChimp Support http://kb.mailchimp.com/article/how-to-add-a-mailchimp-signup-form-to-your-wordpress-blog

P.S. Note that we cannot upload subcriber lists. Here each subscriber controls their own subscriptions and the frequency with which they choose to receive updates.
