    Hey tayojisi,

I don’t know if it helps you or not, but I saw your post and was curious so I googled it myself. Everything seemed to come up fine. Here’s a screenie of my results:

    http://www.awesomescreenshot.com/showImage?img_id=1470750

Very similar results came back when I just searched for “Sweetart Comics” and sweetartcomics.wordpress.com

However, if in the future, you’re still having problems getting on the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) it might have something to do with the search engine’s crawler and how recently your page was indexed, but I’m not sure how reliable ismyblogworking.com is.

I tried several pages (including sites like boingboing.net) and they all came up as “Broken” and said none of them were indexed by Google or Bing. I would try a more reputable or authoritative source to verify if your site is indexing properly like:

    https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/34444?hl=en
    or
    https://www.bing.com/webmaster/help/why-is-my-site-not-in-the-index-2141dfab

Anyway, I hope that helps. Best of luck. :)

    My apologies, tayojisi.

    Hi prodiniz,

Thanks so much for getting back to me. I always dread going on these kinds of forums because people can be quite mean but you were very helpful.

Last night I verified my site with Google so I think that changed things because before, when I typed in my site title, nothing would come up. I suppose I thought that wordpress was supposed to take care of the SEO for you and the other things such as verifying your site and adding your sitemap to Google’s webmaster, etc were extra things that you could do if you so choose?

    Hey tayjisi,

I’m glad I could help. You are correct that WordPress.com does take care of all of those things for you and it’s very likely it would have corrected itself over the next few days. The things you did and that I mentioned just helped speed that process up. Crawlers can be finicky things, especially for static pages. Additionally, there is a really helpful user here named timethief. They specifically blog about things to help with your blog (help me help you, right? lol). This is, in fact, where I got some of the information to help you. :)

You can check out some of their tips here:

Btw, keep up the cool art. :)
