The trial has expiried like a week ago and now when I try to login in my site (https://simeonmicev4.wpcomstaging.com/) or visit it shows error page ‘Something unexpected happened while accessing this website. It looks like it doesn’t have an active domain connection upgrade to link the requested domain name to the WordPress.com site.’ can you please return it or how can I access it?
thank you, I’m waiting for a reply.

    WP.com: Yes

    Hi,

I can see that your Creator trial plan expired on Feb 10, 2024. When the Creator plan expired, your site was reverted to its state before the upgrade. You can manage it from here: https://wordpress.com/home/simeonmicev4.wordpress.com

The domain connection of chisto.com was also removed when the plan expired, as domain connections require a paid plan to work.

If you’d like to keep building your site with a third-party theme, you’ll want to purchase a full Creator plan:

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance with this, don’t hesitate to let us know!

In the Creator plan, it’s important to note that sites on a free trial will be deleted 7 days after the trial ends if not upgraded, which appears to be the case here. You can find more information about this policy here: https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/creator-plan/#try-creator-for-free

Furthermore, when any Creator plan expires, the site is reverted to the state it was in before the upgrade.

When the free trial is over, and the website as created during the trial is deleted or reverted, do we have a chance to recover that content in anyway?

Dollar bill under the table, anything? This last part is a joke by the way.

    Hey @phumemgd,

If a Creator plan is purchased, we may be able to restore the site using the plan, depending on when the trial ended. If you are interested in doing so, please let us know as soon as possible so we have the best chance of success. :)

    Hope this helps!

Hi, I experience the exact same issue and was not aware that my website was going to be deleted. My trial expired on the 14th of April and all the work I put it was reverted to a basic template. I only noticed this on the 23rd of April. I made very significant changes to my trial website and starting from scratch would be near impossible. I’ve upgraded to the starter pack thinking that I would immediately get my changes back.

    Please assist with this matter

    @lemenocreatives

It looks like you had a Creator Trial, which expired on 2024-04-07. When a Creator Trial expires, any content added to the site during that trial is deleted and the URL is reverted back to the free *.wordpress.com URL.

You would need to first purchase a Creator plan and get your site back to a plugin-enabled state.

Once that plan is in place, you can restore your site by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/restore-default-plugins-and-themes/#restore-default-plugins-and-themes

Additionally, it’s important to keep in mind that if the Creator plan expires or is canceled within our cancellation period, any content added or restored when the plan was in place would also be deleted.

If you have any concerns or questions about this process, feel free to ask!
