My site is down and I cannot access my cPanel to fix it.

Why does the site just glitch out when I try to access my cPanel. I need to update my htaccess file to update the https from http and it will not let me in.

What is the URL of the site you are trying to access? We’ll be happy to take a look and see if we can help.

Thanks for that! It looks like your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
Since your site isn’t loading properly at the moment, you should reach out to your host for help with this. Since they’re hosting your site’s files and are the ones who control your cPanel access, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you with this problem.
I hope that helps!
