My Site is Not Ranking and No One Will Help

  • Unknown's avatar

Two weeks ago, I reached out via live chat to find out why my site was having problems ranking on Google, Bing, and I and the WordPress reader app. I asked if I did something wrong on my WordPress site, but the chat representative said to give it time.

I checked my site in Google Search Console, and it said that pages on my site (elitesocietyworld.com) were crawled, but not indexed. I have the paid business plan for this site. Can someone help me find out why my site is not ranking or do I need to cancel the plan?

Hi @kingofmusicreviews, I hope you are doing well today!

Here are a couple points to check:

    1. Have you submitted your sitemap https://elitesocietyworld.com/sitemap_index.xml to Google Search Console? You can follow a step by step here https://yoast.com/help/submit-sitemap-search-engines/
    2. In Google Search Console, in the Indexing > Pages menu, there is a section “Why pages aren’t indexed”, does any message appear below this section? These messages can give us clues as to what is happening.

It can take weeks for search engines to index your site content. Please read this support doc https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/ so you know we have no control over search engines’ positioning or appearance in the SERPs (search engine page results).

Hope this was helpful! Have a nice day!

  • Hey there,

First, thank you @marlonla for the great suggestions, and checking the “Why pages aren’t indexed” would be helpful for diagnosing the issue.

In addition, it looks like you have two SEO plugins installed, SEOPress and Yoast. Due to the complexity of SEO, having multiple plugins can sometimes cause issues such as this. I recommended selecting your preferred SEO solution and deactivating the other plugin.

Hope this helps, and look forward to hearing from you.
