  my site is still blocked by the Russian government. it was unblocked for a day, but I can’t get access to it again. Could you please explain when you will resolve this problem?

  The short version is that several Russian ISPs were ordered by a Russian government entity to block all 40 million WordPress.com blogs in order to censor what appears to be just 5 blogs. We’re doing everything in our power to resolve this, but to be honest, we really don’t have much power in this situation when going up against a government agency.

  macmanx, I know about this, but as I’ve seen in the thread there is a court decision regarding these 5 sites and you can block them and notify the ISPs, can’t you?

  We are discussing this internally and with our contacts at the ISPs and haven’t reached a decision. At the moment, we are standing by our support for freedom of speech.
