My Site- Recovery of Web pages

  • Unknown's avatar

    Good Morning,

I have just renewed my domain through Blue Host after a tough personal time ( also why I had not had chance to renew my WordPress account and payment).

I spent a lot of time on a number of blog posts and wondered if there was any way at all of recovering them. I have URL links to them from sharing them with people but I did not (stupidly) make copies of the blog posts on my Macbook.

Any help would be more than appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Charlotte

    Hi,

This forum is for sites hosted with WordPress .com

Since your site is hosted with Bluehost you will need to get help at Bluehost.

If Bluehost is unable to help you please ask for help at the WordPress .org forums.

If you have not posted in either of those forums please create an account before posting.

Hi Charlotte, If your WP site was also hosted by BlueHost, we won’t be able to help you recover those posts. However, you might be able to retrieve them through either Google’s cache of your site or via the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. https://archive.org/web/ If you had a site backup service, like jetpack, you might want to contact them directly.

I have just renewed my domain through Blue Host after a tough personal time (also why I had not had chance to renew my WordPress account and payment).

If your site was hosted here on WPcom and your BlueHost registered domain mapped to it, your WPcom site would still be available at its underlying wordpress.com address.

WordPress is open source software that is free to download and install with any web hosting provider. WordPress.com is a hosting platform where a modified version of that same software comes preinstalled for you.

Hope that helps, but let us know if you need more info.
