My site shows a white screen

I tried installing seedprod plugin for coming soon page on my wordpress site yesterday, after the install and activation of the plugin, my site stopped loading and started showing ‘Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access this resource.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.’ error.
I deactivated and uninstalled the seedprod plugin, the error still persisted.

I tried to troubleshoot for a while and I saw that in my cpanel log, it was showing:
‘autoindex:error] [pid 265237:tid 47676917995264] [client 154.118.11.9:62190] AH01276: Cannot serve directory /home/uh1vmmlz7ij6/public_html/: No matching DirectoryIndex (index.html.var,index.htm,index.html,index.xhtml,index.wml,index.perl,index.pl,index.plx,index.ppl,index.cgi,index.jsp,index.js,index.jp,index.php4,index.php3,index.php,index.phtml,index.shtml,default.htm,default.html,home.htm,index.php5,Default.html,Default.htm,home.html,welcome.html) found, and server-generated directory index forbidden by Options directive’

then on some sites it said it was because I was missing an index.html in the public_html folder, I added that, and now the site just shows a blank page.

    I am hosting on godaddy.

  • Hi @tunderoxyafolayan,

I’m afraid that we can’t help directly because your thegeorgeng.com site is not with WordPress.com managed hosting. As such, we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.

Instead, your host uses open-source WordPress.org software, which differs from what we offer here on WordPress.com.

The good news though is that help is available in the WordPress.org forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/

Otherwise, you may want to contact GoDaddy for further support.

I hope that points you in the right direction.
