My site text turned black ! (posted in right forum this time)

  Sorry for double posting, but the other forum was the wrong one. Besides, I want to bump this question as it’s really blocking me off from doing anything with my site.

  All right, so I have a few plugins installed :
  -Above The Fold Optimization
  -Akismet
  -Fast Velocity Minify
  -Jetpack
  -Polylang
  -Posts Order
  -WP deferred javaScript
  -and WP Speed of Light ;

  Now, I haven’t had any problems until yesterday. It seems since Fast Velocity Minify updated, all the text (menus, title, main, etc.) turned black. Which wouldn’t be a problem if the site background wasn’t also black. The weird thing is, when I go to “Customize Appearance” under the dashboard, the text color is defined as white, so it’s gotta be a CSS problem, right ?

  The only things I have written in my “Edit CSS” section are :

  .site {
  background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.50);
  }

  body {
  color: white !important;
  }

  The second one is to actually be able to see the body of text, otherwise it’s nigh unreadable. It’s also temporary, so I can delete it.

  Oh, and I should say the theme is “Twenty Sixteen Child Theme”, downloaded from here :

  Okay, so little update : the problem solved itself. I don’t know how, why, or what happened in the first place, but it’s reverted to white. If anyone has any ideas in order to help me prevent it from happening again, I’d welcome them, but in the meantime, I guess, never mind ?
