My site was taken down
-
I have been trying to figure out why my site was taken down.
Mark said I was sending traffic to another website, my own, so what’s wrong with that.
Blogs are full of links, referrals and adsence.
I don’t understand this at all. How do I get my site back.
What is blogroll? -
This is out of the hands of the volunteers here in the forums, and you will have to deal directly with staff at http://wordpress.com/contact-support/
-
Well, I don’t know why your blog got taken down. As thesacredpath said, it’d be better if you contact support.
By the way, A blogroll is a list of people/websites that you have liked to and you can display it on your website for others to see.

This matter must be dealt with by staff. Volunteers can only point you to polciy and contractual obligations.
In order to get a blog here you agreed to Terms of Service (see section 2, 5th bullet) – wordpress.com blogs cannot be used to drive traffic to 3rd party sites.
This is the current advertising policy http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/
This tells you the consequences of breaking the terms of service or the advertising policy http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/06/01/my-blog-has-been-suspended/
I repeat that this issue is between yourself and staff. Please do not continue posting to the forum about this as we cannot help you.

wordpress.com and wordpress.org – the differences

http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/wordpresscom-vs-wordpressorg/If you wish to have a blog with advertising, affiliate links and the like then the other wordpress option is the one to pursue. You can hire a quality webhost very inexpensively (example: I pay only $25 per year) and download a free blog template from htttp://wordpress.org

Mark was the one you were in contact through via email or however he contacted you and the one that makes decisions, so I would just continue conversation that way.

Just looked through her site, which seems to still be up. Wow. A libel lawyer’s treasure trove. Check it out.

As I said above:
Mark was the one you were in contact through via email or however he contacted you and the one that makes decisions, so I would just continue conversation that way.

It is staff’s responsibility to look into this site. Continually marking this as “modlook” will not change that.
-
-
Well, they really HAD better take down that entire article that they stole from the Herald, the one at the top of the blog. They could get reported again for that.

-
The large number of links to stopthetorture.info within a large number of posts may have been the issue as well. Blogs have been TOS’ed in the past for stuff like that.
