My site went down when installing a certain plugin

    I contacted the support help of the creators of the plugin. They said that I installed the wrong one and gave me a link to to the new one. But I first need to remove the wrong plugin, which I have trouble doing since I cannot access my site. Please help me remove the plugin so that my site goes back up and I can install the new one.

    You are using self-hosted WordPress.org.

    Login to your site using FTP or hosting control panel (like cPanel). Delete the offending plugin.

    This forum is for WordPress.com hosted sites exclusively. Suggest you visit the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support/

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are little different and can be confusing. Take a look at the difference between both at https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
