My sitemap is defective. It is not mapping correcting, according to the SEO results I’m getting. The crawl engines are being rejected because the “alt” after the <img> is not redirecting properly. Can you fic this? Chylene Ramsey http://www.truth60.com

What told you your sitemap is defective?

ALT does not redirect. The ALT in an image is a description of the image in compliance with many international laws, including the United States, for web accessibility. It has no action, though there could be an error in the code due to some user input issue.

Check the image they are talking about and if it is in the content, fix it.

An image error will not impact your SEO. There are many more things that go into that mixture, including the use of original content verses duplicate content (copied and non-original content), incoming and outgoing links, keywords used in the right places…there are many things that impact SEO and this forum doesn’t help with those as they are mostly content issues.

    I hope that helps. Thanks.
