My site's gone!
-
In a nutshell, i tried to be a clever clogg and have shown myself to be a fool…
I have a wordpress.com site: tanyahanbury.com
I hve a wordpress.org site, hosted on linux 94.136.40.103 by 1-2-3.reg: Thehardtimes.co.uk
When tanyahanbury.com rn out of storage, I thought I’d try to get both sites on the same server, heck maybe even convert it to.org
Crucially i’ve got no funds for the happiness transfer and another host.
I modified my DNS setting to point to 94.136.40.103
I pointed an external domain to my 1-2-3 hosting package
I created a tanyahanbury.com directory in public_html and then found wp.com gives no access to the site content file, right? Then got scared and undid the wp DNS change…then re-did it.
My site had gone, please help,

Your http://tanyahanbury.com/ site is up and running here at wordpress.com. Congratulations! The nameservers appear to be set up correctly for tanyahanbury.com. tanyahanbury.com is set as the primary domain for tanyahanbury.wordpress.com and will appear in the address bar when you visit the site.
Please log out clear your browser cache and cookies and log in again. It can take as long as 72 hours for DNS changes to become widely available. I’m in Canada and the blog is correctly redirecting to your domain for me. See here to observe the progress https://www.whatsmydns.net/ and know it’s not uncommon for your own ISP to be last to flush their DNS cache.

Hi,
thank you…i’m still struggling. please see this msg below from my hosting support
____________________Dear Tanya,
Thank you for contacting 123-reg on the 15th May 2014.
The mapping rule has been corrected for the folder “/tanyahanbury.com”, you are able to access the website from this link http://thehardtimes.co.uk/tanyahanbury.com/
In the meantime please contact your other registrar and ask them to change the nameservers back to their defaults ones and then update the DNS settings with our hosting IP address: 94.136.40.103.
This way the website will be available for the domain tanyahanbury.com.
If you will want to move the site from WordPress.org to this one from us, please see this guide to help you import it:

Please could you advise? -
I need you to be clearer about what you’re going to do: Are you trying to move your site here to your site at 123?

hello hello,
i’ll do my best.I have two completely seperate websites. one is my photography site tanyahanbury.com and i’ve always used wp.com and been happy. For my second site http://www.thehardtimes.com, i knew id need more functionality so i go a server and used wp.org platform. that is all fine.
I didn’t want to change anything, i wanted the sites to remain completely unrelated, i just didnt want to upgrade my space with wp.com when i was paying for server already. i wanted to host them both, but not mix them at all.
Im so scared ive lost everything, please help
