My Sites is blank, freezes at Loading My Sites

I’ve logged into my WordPress.com account for the first time in a long while, and the subdomain I have is in limbo between the new backend UI and the old backend UI. It seems like my account didn’t get ‘migrated’ completely correctly. Is there anyone that I can contact for assistance?
Cheers.

techlife.tv is hosted by Shopify
Name Servers:
ns40.domaincontrol.com
ns39.domaincontrol.comThat site is not on our WordPress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
This is wordpress.COM support. We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.
(3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.wordpress.org support
The wordpress.ORG support forum is at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.com/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org

However, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service -
Please note, that “the blog I need help with” is the old URL that use to be associated with my WordPress.com sub-domain. That domain is no longer registered to me nor hosted on WordPress.com

I would like to keep using the subdomain that my account is sudo associated with (cause I can see the site’s backend, sometimes, depending on how I browse to it, but nothing works and kicks me to the new UI where none of the posts, sites, pages, etc that are in the old UI (which I can also see) are present)

This is what I see at that URL

Hi there,
It seems like my account didn’t get ‘migrated’ completely correctly.
Where exactly did your account get migrated? There’s no such thing on WordPress.com. Any site hosted on WordPress.com can be accessed via either the WP-Admin link or the My Sites dashboard. It’s not one or the other.
There is only one site in your account, http://techlife.tv/, which is a self-hosted WordPress site connected here via Jetpack.
The site, techlife.wordpress.com, belongs to a completely different account, username techlife. That site has not been active since it was created in 2005, and no one has logged into that username for the past 5 years.
The site, http://techlife.tv/, has never been connected to the techlife username account as far as I can see.
To access techlife.wordpress.com you need to be logged in as the username that owns that site.
If you’re unable to load techlife.tv via the My Sites page, first make sure that you have Jetpack’s manage feature enabled. You can check that via the Jetpack plugin’s settings in the site’s WP-Admin dashboard.
If Manage is enabled, please make sure your browser allows JavaScript. Also try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and check if you have the same problem in a different browser.

Hi kokkieh,
I used the term migrated incorrectly. By browsing the backend, it’s obvious that something did not get ‘upgraded’ correctly, as the following does not work:
– My Profile – Account Settings – Primary Site – this is blank
– My Sites – sits at Loading My Sites continuously and never finishes (Jetpack doesn’t load)
– My Sites – Settings – this is blank. I have no options visible hereWhen I go to any other site one WordPress.com (including yours), I get the old black backend menu bar at the tope with it stating that techlife.tv is my site. However clicking on most of the additional functions that are there does not work.
Example:
– Black My Sites bar (not blue) – Blog Posts – this loads nothing at first. When I click Published, I see a list of article that I wrote back then.
– When I click Write (top right – blue menu) it says no sites found.
– Black My Sites bar (not blue) – Pages – Same thing as posts – I see a list of Pages I created that are under Published. Trying to Edit them does nothing. It sits on that same page.
– Black My Sites bar (not blue) – Media – This is blank. There’s notification that says Finishing set up… but it never finishes.
– Black My Sites bare (not blue) – Settings – This is blank. There’s a notification that says Finishing set up… but it never finishes.
– Black My Sites bar (not blue) – Pluggins – This is blank. There’s a notification that say Finishing set up… but is never finishes.I think you get the idea.
As for the techlife subdomain being disconnected from my account, this makes sense considering how messed up the back end is.
When I’m on your https://kokkieh.blog/ site, I go to my black My Site bar (not blue) for techlife.tv and go to WP Admin. I then get directed over to techlife.wordpress.com and get the following error:

User nedzalife Cannot Access the Dashboard RequestedYou are logged in as “nedzalife” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “Techlife”. If you are not “nedzalife”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “nedzalife” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.
If you reached this screen by accident and meant to visit one your own sites, here are some shortcuts to help you find your way.
Your Sites
—-Why there is this disconnection of the black and blue wp-admin screens and why there are two different accounts involved is beyond me, but as you can see, my techlife.tv site use to site on top of techlife.wordpress.com and I’d like to be able to start using that subdomain again. Feel free to disconnect techlife.tv from the account when re-instating techlife.wordpress.com.
Thank you.

The techlife site and account has existed since 2005. Your nedzalife account was created in 2008 and techlife.tv was connected via Jetpack at that time. However, it looks like Jetpack is not currently connected, which is why our system tries to redirect you to techlife.wordpress.com instead.
In fact, looking a bit deeper, techlife.tv is not even a WordPress site. The site currently at that domain is running Shopify’s software, not WordPress, and can’t even use Jetpack. That would explain why nothing is loading for you on My Sites – the little info that is loading must be historic data that is still stuck in a cache on our servers somewhere.
All I can do regarding that site is to remove the Jetpack connection from your account, at which point you’ll have no sites at all in the nedzalife account. Please confirm if I should do that.
By the way, there is no difference at all between the blue and the black admin bar, except the colour. On the front end and WP-Admin pages of WordPress.com sites it’s coloured black, and on the WordPress.com home page and My Sites it’s coloured blue, but it’s the exact same admin bar.

Yes, as previously stated above, the techlife.tv site is a domain I used to own but let the registration lapse and that domain name is now no longer associated with me. I initially wanted to use WordPress.com for that domain when I had it, hence why the WordPress.com account is associated with that domain.
I do not have an answer as to why there are two different accounts involved. I was working on this stuff 9-12 years ago.
Consider the fact that I am being directed over to the techlife.wordpress.com URL when I try to access wp-admin from within the old techlife.tv WordPress.com site. I will produce a video for you if need be. Please work with engineering to fix and restore the techlife.wordpress.com subdomain for me and disconnect the techlife.tv domain name.
Do not do anything that would jeopardize breaking this link. Engineering needs to see it.
If you need further verification of my identity, please feel free to DM me @techlife on twitter.
Thank you again for your assistance.
Cheers.

I don’t doubt that you’re being redirected. I explained above why that is happening. You are trying, from our admin bar, to access techlife.tv/wp-admin. When you click that link, our system cannot find such an address, and directs you to techlife.wordpress.com/wp-admin instead. But you can’t access that page because your account does not own that site, nor are you added as a user on that site.
If you click on My Sites, there is only one site listed: techlife.tv. That is the only site in your account, and the only site in our system on which @nedzalife is a user.
Please work with engineering to fix and restore the techlife.wordpress.com subdomain for me and disconnect the techlife.tv domain name.
Do not do anything that would jeopardize breaking this link. Engineering needs to see it.
There is nothing to fix. You are logged into the wrong account. If you log out of the @nedzalife account and log in as the @techlife account, you’ll be able to access the dashboard for techlife.wordpress.com.
If you don’t remember the password for the @techlife username account, you’ll need to follow our account recovery process. That is the only way to verify your ownership of an account.
Should I remove the inactive Jetpack connection for techlife.tv from your account? You appear to be both saying I should disconnect it and I shouldn’t disconnect it.
-
Apologies for the confusion. I understand what’s going on now. Please reset anything you need to to fix the @nedzalife account and website.
Cheers.
-
Just to confirm so we both know exactly what is happening, all I can do in this account is to remove the inactive Jetpack connection for techlife.tv. This will leave the @nedzalife account owning no sites, so if you click on My Sites you’ll only see the option to create a new site.
To access techlife.wordpress.com, you need to log in as the techlife username account.
