My site’s Privacy Policy

Hi,
I plan to setup a new public site on WordPress.com.
Will I be accountable to users (and the authorities) for providing and respecting a specific Privacy Policy?
Or will the WordPress.com Privacy Policy also apply to my site?

Every WordPress site is unique with different plugins and features. Therefore, the privacy policy needs to reflect the site’s actual practices.
For example: Plug-in-enabled websites have the option to install plug-ins created by third-party services. As a website owner, you are responsible for ensuring that the plugins installed on your website are handling data in accordance with the GDPR.
If you’re not sure how to get started with your Privacy Policy, you can use the WordPress template. They released the Privacy Policy under a Creative Commons Sharealike license. So you can copy it, adapt it and reuse it for your own use.
