"My Sites" pulls up Stats and not Sites
-
Logically the My SItes link should lead to … sites. Not to the stats page. When I want to go to my sites I do NOT want to be catapulted back into the stats page. This is particularly annoying when one has chosen not to use the horrible “new and updated” stats page.
Logically My SItes should lead directly to SITES. I have five blogs and to get to them I have to click and clack all over the place. Any good website designer knows that requiring extra clicks is just poor design. What is the matter with WordPress. Every new “update” requires more clicks or scrolling.
And to force users back again and again to that Stats page is either poor programming or stubborness. and one goes back to the NEW stats. I don’t want to go back to any stats page when I’m clicking onto My SItes.
I suspect this is another tacky ruse to rack up numbers to support customer approval of the new stats page … if you have no choice and every link leads back to that stats page … well what do you expect?
To get into this movie you need to buy a ticket. Wow … 100% of the people inside the theater have ticket stubs.

Hi there,
As an alternative to the Global Dashboard’s My Sites page, you can view all of your blogs through your WP Admin Dashboard’s My Blogs page here: http://thehappypianoprofessor.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs

@ elzrjose … Thanks for the tip. But here again WordPress employs a devious ruse by insisting that I have to list my site as one I’m having “problems with”. My problem is with a general feature which is annoying to users of WordPress.
There are indeed all sorts of “work-arounds” … but if I manage to get onto my home page there’s a very nice menu on the left hand corner which allows me to view all my sites.
My complaint is that when I’m in stats … classic or new …. the MySItes leads me right back to the Stats page. Where I have to click and clack my way onto the site I want.
Mysites should be SITES … leading to an extra page or anywhere else is just more futile clicking. Why can’t MySItes simply open a drop down menu of my sites … nothing else. I don’t want anything else but that list.
The amount of clicking around simply increases exponentially with each new “upgrade” foisted on us my the WP developers.
Extra clicks … are NOT upgrades.
