My stats are too high

    I think my blog is decent. I haven’t been able to put as much effort into it as I’d like, but I think it’s pretty good. Sadly though, it is definitely not 102 views a day good. Not only this, the views increase every time I refresh.

    Now I have 104 views. This definitely isn’t accurate; it says I have 10 page views through search terms. Fair enough, that’s believable. HOWEVER, it also says that Google has sent me 57 views. 10 and 57 are not the same number.

    Most of my posts have received a normal number of views (1 or 2), but one has received 26 views. I don’t think this is right.

    Is there some way to fix my stats?

    Hmm I can’t help you out – but refreshing certainly should’nt add views.

    It’s perfectly normal for there to be a huge variation in stats between posts when each has less than 100 views. The fewer the views, the more variable the stats.

    Google may have “sent” 57 people to your blog if they only saw an image from your blog on Google Image Search and didn’t go to view the page.
