My stats are 0 but I know people have viewed my blog this evening – is there a problem with the website?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are no known issues that I am aware of. Our stats are not real time stats. For details see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/ and note the views and viewers take hours to update. Provided you are logged in when visiting, your own views are not recorded on any public blog you registered.
Our stats are page view stats. Please do not assume that everyone who clicks a follow, like, share, reblog or comment link actually reads the post on your blog because odds are they may not. Also note that those who follow your blog in the Reader or by email don’t have to click into the blog unless they wish to. Subscribers control how frequently they receive your posts (instantly, daily, weekly). And, they can even comment without clicking into the blog either.
Follow, like, share, reblog or comment clicks are not page views. In fact, follows, likes, shares, comments and reblogs are completely misleading when you are talking about page view stats.
Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com/Gravatar account who is logged into WordPress.com can “follow” your blog, “like”, “share” and “reblog” your posts and “comment” in several locations such as the Reader, without ever clicking into your blog and creating a single page view stat.
Logged in visitors using a mobile can read the full post without creating a page view stat. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-reader-show-full-text?replies=31#post-1373606
You can control the length of the entry sent out on your RSS feed here Dashboard > Settings > Reading. Choose the “summary” setting for your RSS feed rather than to “full text”. That will compel followers who are not using mobiles to click into the blog to read the full post which will create a page view stat.

I’ve noticed the same issue today. I’ve tried to verify this by generating several hits while not logged in; these will usually appear in the statistics quite quickly, but nothing appears yet. Statcounter indicates that there have several visitors to the site over the past few hours.
It isn’t especially important to me, and there’s always a bit of a disparity between Statcounter and WordPress, but there appears to be a lag today.
-
There’s always a difference between those two and always will be. Settings that issue aside, I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now.

My blog is located here: http://rememberingkarenhunt.wordpress.com/
I understand that the will be a difference between the two. I only posted because the disparity is greater than normal. My site has low traffic, and I’m not especially concerned. I merely mentioned it in light of recent issues with statistics this past weekend.
As I type this, the timeline at the top of the site just started showing 8 hits at once while that statistics page shows 0 hits and 0 visitors. I’ve never encountered this behavior before.

I tagged this thread for a Staff follow up. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

I’m adding this for the staff: the timeline at the top of the page briefly (and correctly) indicated 8 hits, though these were not reflected on the main stats page. The hits then vanished, reappeared, vanished again, then fell back to 1.

Hi – looks like my stats have caught up and my initial query seems resolved. For me at least, happy with response and numbers seem OK. Thanks for swift communications

Hi there,
You both mentioned that your stats caught up and this issue resolved itself. Is everything ok now? If you’re having further trouble please let me know and I can investigate it.

Everything’s working fine on my end now; hits appear instantly and are recorded accurately with no sign of the lag I saw on Monday.
