My Stats Page Keeps Freezing

The only time my blog freezes up is when I try to look at my stats. It sucks because I can’t see what’s bringing in traffic. Dashboard works fine until I try to go to my traffic stats.

Also sometimes my posts get cut in half when I publish them and I have to go back and retype a good chunk of typing.

I’m sorry to hear that. Are you having trouble loading any other sites on WordPress.com? Or only your Site Stats page?
Can you let us know what internet browser and operating system you’re using, as well as the versions?
Around when did you start coming across this problem?

It’s been happening for the last four days or so. I’m using Google Chrome and it’s up to date. It hasn’t been a problem on Chrome until just very recently. It’s only my Site Stats page. Everything else works until I try to pull up the stats.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache?
Let us know if that doesn’t help.

Can you maybe clarify what “Freeze up” means ?
Is it that the stats won’t load, or does the browser than hangs and doesn’t respond, or anything else?

The stats page looks like it loads completely, but then I can’t click on anything or scroll down. Usually Google Chrome will bring up a error message after a minute or two.

It’s just the basic unresponsive page message. Nothing fancy.

You might try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies one more time:

Could you also let us know what version of Chrome you’re using?

Ok, sorry it’s taken me so long to get back. School and family and whatnot. The page works fine on Safari, so it seems to be a Chrome issue. I’m working on seeing what version it is and the other info, it’ll just be a minute.

Ah, we can’t directly support beta software, given on how often they change.
Can you check in the current stable release of Chrome?

I didn’t even realize I had a beta version. It’s possible to get the stable release but since it’s just the one page having problems for now I’ll just pull it up in Safari. Thanks so much for all the help and advice, I really appreciate it.
