My sticky post isn't showing as a banner…Wuzz up?

    Dear folks,
I emailed 24 hours ago and haven’t heard back. In the meantime I have exhausted my options trying to fix the stupid sticky feature.

Here’s the deal: Another very kind blogger told me how to make a post sticky. I had used his blog as a model for mine when I selected and created my template. I made my first sticky post and it was perfect–it showed up like a big banner at the top of my blog and really caught one’s eye. Yay!

Then I decided to change my sticky post to a newer post. But when I did that, it didn’t make a nice banner, it made a lame little “featured” button over the featured image instead of a banner. I tried to make a number of other posts sticky to see if they would display as a banner, but they, too, all got the lame “featured” button. Only my first sticky post shows as a banner.

I have selected featured images…I have tried to figure out what makes that post different from others to see if there’s anything that is keeping the others from showing in a banner style….I can’t figure it out.

And I don’t read any code.

Please help! I really like the banner sticky look–it’s one of the reasons I selected my template.

    Many thanks,
    Lori

  • Your featured image isn’t wide enough to trigger the slider. Per the instructions at http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/fresh-and-clean/ it needs to be at least 840 pixels wide.
