My subscribers are not able to follow my blog on free site

  When my friend subscribes to my blog, she received a mail to confirm. When she tried to confirm, it popped up a notification ‘Your subscription could not be activated since your email address you subscribed with is not attached to your wordpress.com account’.
  Can only wordpress account user follow my blog?

  Hi there,

  A WordPress.com account is not required to follow a site via email.

  But it sounds like your friend is logged into a WordPress.com account connected to a different email address than the address they used to subscribe to your site.

  In that case they’ll need to be logged out of their WordPress.com account first, before they can confirm that subscription.
