my tags, comments and sidebars
-
I am a relative newbie to wp and would appreciate help with a few concerns:
How do I hide the tags that show up on under each post? Yes, I have quite a bit on some… should I delete them all?
My friends tell me they can’t find my comment button or a contact me on my blog. How do I make comments prominent and how do I create contact me page?
I have a theme with two sidebars yet when I try to add widgets/info to #2 they dont show up on my blog at all HELP
Finally, I love my thems but firneds say its too dark… any chance of getting same theme in white or a light color?
Thank you!!!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The tags under your posts are
http://support.wordpress.com/related-posts/
If you turn them off, your blog will be excluded from WP global search.
Also a note: if you use more than 12 total tags plus categories, you look like you are spamming and will be excluded. -
Good to know this and will go back and limit to 12. Is this per post or total? Thank you 1Tess!
Any suggestions on other concerns? Appreciate the feedback!

In order to see the comments section, readers have to be looking at a single post, not at all the posts on your front page. Or they have to click on the word comments. It is awfully small, and if you aren’t looking for it hard to see. Maybe put instructions about how to make comments into a text widget in the side bar.
Here is how to make a contact form:
http://support.wordpress.com/contact-form/And here is how to make your name link to your blog:
How to make your name link to your blog:
Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to ‘contact info’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.
Now… when you comment here and on other blogs, your name will link to your blog. If you do this before you post your request for help, it will allow forum volunteers to be able to help you quicker since they won’t have to ask you for a link and wait until you come back to post one. -

Andreas 04 has never struck me as “dark” but it does have that shading on top. The only way to change that is to upgrade to the CSS for $15 per year. BUT you should have experience with CSS before paying because there are only a few volunteers with lots of experience with it and they are not always around to answer questions.

I will happily pay the $15 just to try out my blog in white… I know nada about CSS and when I read up on it on the internet, my eyes glaze over. Oh boy!
Since you’ve been so helpful, is there a way to make my quotes rotate? I downloaded an app and it turns out to be for wp.org only. -
As for adding widgets to your second side bar:
Under “Current Widgets” use the dropdown button to select sidebar 2 and click show.
Add widget, edit or format it, click done. Then be sure to “Save Changes.” -
On widgets, I have done what you suggested in the past and they didn’t show up… Will try again. Many Thanks!

You can use one that’s a rotating gif, but you first have to HAVE the rotating gif with all the quotes on it.
