My theme crops my images

My face gets cut off in all my featured images. I’ve tried cropping them to a perfect square, fixing the ratio, everything. I feel like I wasted 80 dollars on a theme that is useless. The images once you click on the post are fine but the ones displayed on the main page are always cropped. Is there anyway to change the size of displayed images?
