My theme image won't change
-
I keep selecting the chateau theme, but my site image won’t change to the chateau image. It’s stuck on the Affinity image. From the customizer, when I click on “themes” and “header image,” it shows that my current image is the chateau image in the sidebar, but the image that appears on the actual page is the affinity image. Please help!
I took a screenshot, but it can’t paste here. I can send it in an email if you want it.

Hi,
The images at the top of the “Home,” “About,” and “Contact” pages are default featured images retained from the Affinity theme when you switched over. This is a commonly encountered issue. The solution is to remove the featured images from the static pages. The custom header will replace the featured image on any page and single post on which no featured image is set. Alternatively, you may replace the removed featured images with other featured images if you like.

Thank you for the response. I can’t remove the Affinity image. I can select “hide image” and then choose another, but even if it shows another image as selected, the Affinity image still appears. How do I delete the Affinity image? I see no delete option anywhere, and the hide doesn’t allow me to replace this image with another.

The images at the top of the “Home,” “About,” and “Contact” pages are are featured images. See the Removing a Featured Image section of the Featured Images support page.

Header images and featured images are different. You can’t remove one with the tool used to edit, change, or remove the other. The options you refer to, at Customize > Header Image, will have no effect upon the featured images.
