My Theme Just Rearranged Itself

  I was changing some options on my theme and the whole thing rearranged itself. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

  What options did you change? Was that long blockquote in the most recent post a copy/paste from the other blog?

  I put –more– in a number of posts to shorten them and wap the thing rearranged itself. I went back and deleted the –mores– and it went back to normal. Thanks for responding.

  You’re welcome. But splitting a post shouldn’t break your theme. If you come back and see this..did you use the split post icon or enter the ‘more’ code by hand?

  Most times then the more tag breaks a theme, it is because an ending tag, for something in the first part of a post, is after the more tag. This happens most often when something is copied and pasted either from the web, or from another program such as MS Word.

  One general thing that I do is to always put a more tag on it’s own line, not inside a paragraph. That way there is far less chance of me splitting up tags.

  Excellent information, tsp, thank you. There is a big blockquote section in her blog that looks copy/paste.

  I put the more tag on its own line too, but purely for aesthestics. Will certainly continue the practice.
