My theme says it supports multiple menus but isn't allowing me to add menus

I am using the ‘suits’ theme and have premium wordpress. When selecting the theme, the demo shows multiple drop down menus at the top. When I go to appearances, add custom menu, it says my theme only supports 1 menu. Does suits only support 1 menu or am I doing something incorrectly?

    Hi there,

I think it’s just a case of getting mixed up in terminology.

Your theme does only support one menu, but that menu can have multiple levels. So, by way of example, in the Suits demo, the menu has four top-level items (Home, A Parent Page, HTML Elements, Page Templates) and with the exception of the Home item, each of those items has “child items”. Some of those child items have their own sub-menu items called grandchild items.

So you want to add all of these links to the same menu, but organise them with parents where you want them to appear below another item. You can do this by dragging an item towards to the right to make it a child item of the menu item above it.

This support article explains in greater detail how to manage custom menus: Custom Menus.

If there’s anything else I can help with, just let me know!
