My Themes are alway blank?

  When I select a theme instead of getting the theme the way it is presented I always get a short form and the theme is blank. What am I doing wrong?

  When I select a theme instead of getting the theme the way it is presented I always get a short form and the theme is blank. What am I doing wrong?

  When selecting a theme you can use the option to “Try & Customize”, which is available after clicking on three dots next to the theme’s name. This will show the how your site would look like with a chosen theme.
  The fact that the theme seems blank after activation is standard and you have to set it up first.

  In order for it to look like the demo site for the theme, you would have to follow the instructions on how to set it up in order to make it look like the demo version.
  For example for the theme your site is currently using (Gateway) you would have to follow these instructions here:

  https://wordpress.com/theme/gateway
