Why does my Top Posts and Pages data group all new posts together?

  • Unknown's avatar

My top post data isn’t right. It seems like my most recent posts are all labelled #2147483647 (deleted)

Each individual post is not getting any data tracked for them. ONly my old posts seem to have this data (I migrated my blog from Tumblr a couple months ago).

So, at an aggregate level, looks like data is being tracked. But I think all of the posts that I’ve made since starting this blog are being grouped together. Not sure what’s going on or how to fix this!

    Hi there,

I can definitely see what you’re referring to. Can you confirm that all of the other posts in the “Top Posts & Pages” module were published prior to migrating from Tumblr?

Did this error only start happening after your migrated from Tumblr?

Yes, the other posts in teh Top Posts module were published prior to moving from Tumblr. I basically started this blog when I moved my content from Tumblr.

Any ideas? I actually switched because of the analytics, but this isn’t really going to work :(

Unfortunately, this is an issue with Tumblr imports that we are aware of and working on. While we are in the process of developing a fix for this, I cannot provide a timeline as to when this may be resolved.

I’m so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

I don’t really get it though. Why would the old imported posts be impacting whether or not my future posts are being tracked?

  • Mostly, the issue is just with how the old imported posts are being identified. We’re still looking into this.

Ok, thanks. How can I un-import my old tumblr posts now thta I’ve already done it? Is that possible? Would that fix the problem temporarily?

  • Unfortunately un-importing things won’t work as the post IDs aren’t able to be reset that way. Sorry for the bad news. :(

We know this issue isn’t fun and we are looking at solutions. In the meantime though there isn’t a way to fix that specific site. You’d need to create a new one from scratch.
