My twitter followers are not showing in my followers list

I have two questions. Last week I got two followers on Twitter, and they do not show in my total followers list which includes the other 10 Twitter followers I already have.
Also, when I was researching this question, I found a page showing how to put a twitter follower button on my blog side bar. The code example shows wordpressdotcom. So do I insert the URL from my Twitter page in that code or from my wordpress page? Also, if they use a Twitter follow button from my blog, will it add to my total followers, like it has been doing until last week?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We pull those follow numbers from Twitter. So it may take time for the to provide us with the correct number after a change in subscribers. Are you seeing the correct number now?

Can you show me the page where you are seeing the instructions?

No, it still doesn’t show the 2 new Twitter followers, unless maybe they changed their minds and unfollowed. I don’t get notifications for those who opt out. However, one of those I’m pretty sure would not un-follow.

Where it says:
[twitter-follow screen_name='wordpressdotcom']…you would replace wordpressdotcom with your Twitter username.

Inserted the Twitter button. No problem. The instructions were clear after all. And I checked my Twitter page, (which I don’t do very often) and indeed I had lost two earlier followers, so 10 is correct. Apologies for my inattention to detail.
