my twitter widget is not linking to twitter

  I’m sorry to bother you but I wanted a twitter button that people who read my blog can go to my twitter. I copied the widget from twitter and my page shows ‘follow me on twitter’ but when I hover over it, it does nothing. My facebook one does well.
