My two sites have crashed. I sign in the wordpress to get support and wordpress tells me I have no

deafwhale.com and dumaguete-studio-apartments.com are both my web sites. Last week when I signed in to deafwhale.com, there were 6 extensions that needed to be renewed. I tried to renew them but 2 would not load properly. I decided to wait a day or so and have a second go. Then I notice that the entire site was down. It returned the following:

‘Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0’

I went to my other site and tried to install the new updates and the same thing happened on the other site: The other site now returns error message:

‘Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0’

To make matters even more mysterious, wordpress now says I have no open sites.

Can anyone help me. I am not a computer person.

It looks like one or two of the updates that I uploaded contain a toxic worm.

    Hello,

It looks like you have a WordPress.org slef-hosted site. This support forum is for websites hosted on WordPress.com.

I would suggest contacting your provider for assistance, or start a thread on the WordPress.org support forums:
    https://wordpress.org/support/

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have many differences, you can read about here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Apologies we can’t help you here, but good luck!

    Regards,

    Hi deafwhale,

To make matters even more mysterious, wordpress now says I have no open sites.

Both deafwhale.com and dumaguete-studio-apartments.com are self hosted WordPress.org sites. They are separate from WordPress.com, which is why you are unable to access them from the account you are currently logged in to.

On these forums, we are only able to help with WordPress.com sites hosted on on our own servers. However, support for self hosted WordPress.org sites is available using the link @patilswapnilv2 provided:

    https://wordpress.org/support/

The other option is to try accessing the site via FTP and remove the extensions. I know you said you aren’t a computer person but I wanted to let you know that might be an option :)

If you are now unable to access either site, I’d recommend contacting your hosting provider (Stable Host) for help. They should be able to offer you some advice.

Best of luck getting this sorted out.

    Hi deafwhale,

You’re very welcome! We have a guide which explains the process for moving from WordPress.org to WordPress.com:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/

I’m happy to answer any questions you have though.

Can I just pay wordpress to transfer the sites to their server. I’m so sick of the computer. I can stand to read another page of direction written for experts. Computer language leaves me scratching my head. It takes an entire day to figure out two paragraphs.

    Hi deafwhale,

Can I just pay wordpress to transfer the sites to their server.

I’m afraid we don’t have a service for transferring a WordPress.org site over to WordPress.com. The process is something you would need to work through manually but we can help by answering any questions you have along the way.

It’s worth noting that although a self hosted site can be moved over to WordPress.com, there may be elements of your site that aren’t compatible. For example, custom plugins and third party themes are only available with the Business plan so you wouldn’t be able to use them on the free, personal or premium plans.

When your sites are back online I could look over them and help you work out what you would need. If you’d like me to do that, just reply here if and when you are ready.
