My updates do not publish on the static homepage

    By editing my site, I changed my email link which does not work and the background colors of the site, but even after saving they do not show up on the published website. However, when I click edit site again, the changes are still there. I have a static homepage, and wish to keep my website a one-page site as I am using it as a portfolio. I really need to have my email link successfully, but I’m not sure what to do. It seems like after publishing the website for the first time I cannot make any updates to it.

    Also, if I just click the edit button (not edit site, just edit) it takes me to a different page altogether that is not a part of my published website.
