  I renewed my website subscription last year and since then, ‘.wordpress.com’ has been attached to my URL whereas it wasn’t the case before i renewed- there was no ‘wordpress.com’.

  Please how can I solve this?

Upon reviewing your account, it seems that you originally purchased your domain before we required a paid plan to use a custom domain for your website. Accounts with such purchases were allowed to keep the “domain only” upgrade as long as the account remained in good standing.

  Last year, your domain expired, and our support team worked with you to recover it from redemption. However, this placed your domain under the current domain registration plan since the old one no longer exists, which unfortunately does not permit the use of a domain without a paid plan upgrade.
