My URL Names

Hi. I am aware that my URL links will have .wordpress.com. I don’t mind that. But, for some reason, not all (only some) of my pages have /reynolds/ in the URL at the top? I think I used to use an old template called Reynolds for those pages, but I have changed it since I first started. Just wondered why it was there, when my newer pages don’t have the template name in (‘Twenty Sixteen’).
    Thanks.

    Hi,

The pages linked to by your menu items “Blog,” “Creative,” and “Photos” are set as child pages of the page with the slug “Reynolds,” which may be set as your homepage.

I surmise that the extension “/reynolds” refers to the page set as the homepage, because when I add the extension “/reynolds” to the URL of your homepage, the extension disappears, and if I enter the URL “https://mycornerofhappy.wordpress.com/reynolds” into the address bar, again the extension “/reynolds” disappears.

So, if you don’t want “/reynolds/” to appear in the URLs of those pages, the action to take would be to remove it as a parent of those pages. How to do this may be deduced from the Accessing Page Attributes and Parent Page sections of the Page Attributes support page.

    correction:

and if I enter the URL https://mycornerofhappy.wordpress.com/reynolds into the address bar, again the extension /reynolds disappears.

The right double quotation mark I placed at the end of the URL in the original was somehow converted to its HTML code.
