My URLs are not redirecting properly
-
I recently paid to have my wordpress blog redirected to my new website. The homepage redirects no problem, but the old content does not redirect:
http://tinderellanyc.com/2014/09/02/the-young-tinder/
You can only access the old content by clicking on it directly from the website.
e.g. http://tinderellanyc.com/the-young-tinder/
If there is a way to remedy this without getting too technical with coding, that would be great but please let me know how I can fix this immediately.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
In order for the URLs to redirect, the post slug on your self-hosted site must match the style on WordPress.com (Date then name). You can change this on your self-hosted site under Settings -> Permalinks. You’ll want to use “Day and name.” Can you give that a try?
Please note, if you’ve posted the non-date version of your URLs elsewhere (like Facebook), they will break once you switch to the “Day and name” version. However, this is the only way to get the redirect to work correctly for posts.

thank you for responding. I actually would prefer to fix it the other way – i.e. take the date out the old URLs.
Is that possible?
-
That will not be possible as the permalink structure at WordPress.com is not adjustable.

OK. Is it possible to only change the URLs of old content that was moved across on my website to include the date so that the redirect works.
I don’t want my new posts to have dates in the URLs.
I’m not really understanding why I paid for a redirecting service that only partially works – is there a contact at WordPress that can address this?

I’m afraid it isn’t possible to change only a select group of URLs on your site (it might be possible through some really thorough code but that’s going to be more work/trouble than it’s worth). Permalink changes are applied globally.

The Site Redirect upgrade is working correctly on your site. However, for posts to work properly, the slug must match. I’m afraid there isn’t anything we can do to fix this outside of changing the permalink structure. We have this outlined on the Site Redirect support page under “Please Note.
If you would like, I’m happy to refund your purchase for you!
