My user has been downgraded from Admin to Contributor and I can't correct it!
-
I just logged into my website, realcurrencies.wordpress.com.
I’ve been managing this website for years, without any problems.
Suddenly it transpired my user with which I manage the site is downgraded to contributor! I can’t really manage the website with such low status.
I don’t understand how this happened. I’m sure I didn’t do it myself.
There was a weird email address listed in the user management interface. I clicked this away when I saw it, but I fear the site has been hacked in some way or another.
The main thing is: how do I restore my user to Admin?

Do you solely own the website or there were other users involved in managing the blog?
The other user who has administrator might have changed your role.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.
I’ve been working hard on that blog, there are hundreds of serious articles on it.
I realize WP cannot hands on manage millions of blogs, so I’m grateful for the effort.
