-
I was trying to make a comment on a blog by using wordpress ID or OPEN ID. As instructed I typed http://wordpress.com OR qwnaqvi.wordpress. com in place of User ID but I received a messahe from wordpress.com that “You don’t own this Username.”
What is my username? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

HI there,
OpenIDs work using WordPress.com blog URLs, not usernames, so first try it out again with one of your WordPress.com site addresses:
ragdesh.wordpress.com
I do not believe OpenID will behave correctly with Jetpack sites, but you might try that as well.
Please let me know if that helps. If not, would you please also let me know what site you were trying to comment on to make sure it’s on the OpenID trusted site list?

Dear Alex,
Thanks for reply.
Confusion was at my end. Since my wordpress login ID is qwnaqvi, I thought that I can post comments using that ID. Therefore I was putting in http://qwnaqvi.wordpress.com OR qwnaqvi.wordpress.com and that wasn’t working.
And unfortunately I can’t use raagdesh.wordpress.com because nothing existed at this URL. I created this blog initially but soon shifted to my own URL http://raagdesh.com and stopped using my wordpress URL. Therefore I deleted all content posted at raagdesh.wordpress.com.
Is there anyway if raagdesh.wordpress.com can be re-directed to my URL raagdesh.com?
Otherwise if I make comments using raagdesh.wordpress.com and in case someone clicks on my comment, it will lead to a blank page displaying the message “Nothing found here.” -
You can purchase a Site Redirect upgrade if you’d like ragdesh.wordpress.com to automatically point to raagdesh.com :
Did you also try entering raagdesh.com for use on OpenID? I’m not sure if it works, but if you have Jetpack enabled on that site, that assigns the site a WordPress.com blog # so it might. Worth at try at least. :)

Thank you Alex for all the help and guidance. I have redirected it and it is working fine. Thanks once again.

Dear Alex,
I tried commenting on the blog exactly as you suggested. I tried to post a comment using raagdesh.wordpress.com but failed. I tried to use raagdesh.com but it too didn’t work.
I got this message : “Your OpenID credentials could not be verified.” -
The URL of the blog on which I am trying to post is:
http://matheikal.blogspot.in/2015/01/india-and-identity-crisis.html -
Hi again!
Sorry for the continue troubles.
I’ve tried experimenting myself, and it does appear that if you want to use raagdesh.com as your URL for commenting via OpenID, the Jetpack plugin alone cannot do that. However, there are other plugins that do this. Here’s one from the WordPress.org plugin repository:
Activating that plugin will allow enter raagdesh.com as your OpenID to comment on other websites.
However, I believe your current efforts were not working with WordPress.com because you say you were entering this URL:
raagdesh.wordpress.com
However, your URL here on WordPress.com is this:
ragdesh.wordpress.com
I’ve added the site on which you’d like to comment to your OpenID Safe List for ragdesh.wordpress.com. If you’ll clear you browser’s cache and cookies, then revisit the article, you should be able to use ragdesh.wordpress.com as your OpenID to comment.
(Noting, of course, that since you now have the site redirect, anyone clicking the link will be redirected to Raagdesh.com and not ragdesh.wordpress.com)
