My user name has changed

my username has changed to akismet and I\\\\\\\’m not sure why. I thought my user name was baydreamer or baydreamsurf. When I try to use this is says its taken. Can you help please

HI guys, I had a blog which I havent used in a while. However when I tried to locate my password, my user name is some long winded starting akismet? and then a bunch of numbers
Can anyone let me know if this has been hacked.
My blog name, says its in use, but when I try to locate it, it cant.
Any ideas on this

Do you have a funny looking username assigned through Gravatar that starts with g2-* ?
If so, this was made when an imported Gravatar account had an email address not matching an account with WordPress.com. Please login to WordPress.com and then visit http://wordpress.com/wp-changelogin.php to change this username.

many thanks I have changed my user name, is there any reason for this to happen? I couldnt see any explanations (unless i didnt read it well enough)
