My user name was accidentally changed. Help!

  My user name was accidentally changed. When I try to change it back so that I can access my site, I get an error message that that username already exists. I know it exists. It’s me! How can I change it back so that I can access my site?

  I may disappoint you, but once you change your username you cannot change it back to the old one. The old username get’s reserved and it cannot be registered by anyone(not even by the original owner).

  This is done to keep you from being impersonated by someone else.

  That’s the reason why there are warnings given at the time of changing the username so that you can think twice before confirming the action.

  So… to summarize there is no way to recover the original username. I am really sorry about it.
