my username isn't visible

  When I post, the date shows up, but no “posted by…” My username isn’t visible anywhere on my blog, even though I have checked the appropriate box to make this info public.

  My blog seems impersonal without a name present to identify the author. I notice other blogs usually have “posted by “username,”

  I’m a real novice a thtis, and would appreciate any help. Thanks.

  It’s just a matter of which theme you’re using. If you REALLY want to keep the theme, then you can always type in a byline like “posted by littlesoul2”

  Your blog has the Tarski theme on it and it does display Author names on Posts but not on Pages. The reason your Author name is not appearing is because you are creating Pages not Posts. This describes the differences between posts and pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

  Thank you both for your help. I changed the theme, and now the problem has been resolved.

  I also plan to read the links suggested above.
