My usual site is showing all my posts but I cannot upload to it.

    I cannot upload to my usual site under maristravels (travelswithmycamera.blog). I keep being directed to a site I opened a long time ago to which I’ve only posted twice (maritraveller). It used to be that when I clicked on My Sites I got the sites I had but i only used one. Now it shows My Site (singular only) and I cannot find the site that holds all my posts. I’ve tried logging out and back in again but nothing changes.

    That site belongs to a different WordPress.com account, not the one you’re currently logged in under.

    I tried to reset my password but it reset the password for the site I don’t want and I still can’t access the one I regularly use. I clicked on the ‘maristravels’ button because I think that is the ID but I can’t even find my account now.

    What I find strange is that the plural My Sites have gone leaving one the singular My Site? Why should this happen? Today (or it may have been last evening) I had an email to say a comment had been left on a post on the maritraveller site (there are only two on there) and without realising it was this site I clicked on the ‘comment’ and was taken there. Then when I next tried to log in to my usual one I was locked out. Does this make sense?

    I’ve looked up earlier data and I think the site I want is

    (email visible only to moderators and staff).

    That’s the correct email address. :)

    So, you’ll need to:

    1. Log out of WordPress.com at https://wordpress.com/me

    2. Log back in to WordPress.com as that email address.

    If you do not recall the password for the account under that email address, we have some options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

    I’ve logged out and then logged in again with the email address you said was correct. That takes me to my usual blog (which was available to me anyway) but the problem still exists, i.e. I cannot write to it. In fact now the WRITE bubble is no longer on the top and there is no way I can access any of the functions under My Site, as My Site is no longer there either.
    Incidentally, my site is a paid for site and the one it takes me back to is a Free site.

    You logged back in as the same account you’ve been using for this entire thread, maritraveller. If you go to https://wordpress.com/me/account you’ll see the email address there is not the same as the email address you gave above.

    You need to log in as the username maristravels to post to travelsineuropeandasia.wordpress.com

    Thank you so much, I’m back to normal now. I had actually, tried logging in with maristravels but this took me to the wrong site. It was when you said I should do this that I tried adding the rest of the email on and it worked on that. I don’t care how, I’m back and that’s all that matters, so thank you again.
