my video links not showing in reader feed

Previously, when posting linked/embedded videos (youtube, vimeo, etc), one video would show in my reader feed. As of today, no video shows. I still see videos for blogs that I’m following, and there is no difference on my blog, just in the reader feed. Is there a new method for posting videos, to have them show up in reader feed, or what might have changed, if not? Thanks!

Also, not showing pics/gallery in reader feed. Is this some streamlining re-tooling? Confused as to why it has not effected all sites, if so.

It sounds like you are probably using a summary feed.
Some information was removed in the Reader for posts that are using summary feeds based on feedback from blog owners who would like to restrict what can be seen from their blogs in a feed. We may add featured images back based on the large amount of feedback now coming in saying they don’t like that pictures are missing. I am not sure whether videos will be included for summary feed posts in the future or not.
While that decision gets worked out, it’s possible for you to make images show up in the Reader again for your posts by going to WP Admin > Settings > Reading and changing the feed option from “Summary” to “Full text.”

Awesome! That worked for video and soundcloud, as well. Thanks for the help! Now if you guys could add a general “like” button (if that’s even possible) for non wordpress/google+ users, I’d be set!

Aha, I do think people will have to at least have a username-only account here in order to like something, but it’s really quick to setup a WordPress.com account if they want to. :)
