My video wont play back.

My uploaded video will play in my library and meets all of the conditions (under 100 MB, format .wmv accepted, etc.), but it will not play on my blog when I preview it. It says “error” and “unsupported media file type or invalid path”. Help!!

This didn’t change anything. The video played in my library just fine before too. It is when I try to upload it into a post that it refuses to play. You can see what I mean in my latest post (it’s a saved draft).
I hope you can help me with this. Part of the reason I bought the upgrade was so I could upload my own video on my blog. I’ve been trying to figure this out for months. :(

Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?

I shouldn’t have to change browsers just because I can’t upload video to my wordpress blog. I have the latest version of ie. Unless other ie users are having the same problem! Anyway, I started using windows writer which 1st uploads my videos to youtube and then post them to my blog all in two simple clicks. It works great.

Naturally I used the shortcode you provided in your response when trying to upload my video in the first place. I’m sorry but you were absolutely no help at all! Fortunately, it is all taken care of now. Windows writer is great and easy to use.

The reason I asked was because I wanted to rule out it’s a browser specific issue or not, as we were unable to reproduce it.
I’m glad it’s working now through Windows Writer and Youtube. ALternatively you could try to reset your browser settings using these instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737
Otherwise feel free to send us a screenshot of the page where you’re seeing the issue? This way we have a better understanding of the problem. You can upload the screenshot to your blog’s media library.
